The Certified Voluntary Benefits Specialist® program is provided to professionals who:

  • Pass a challenging 100 question exam
  • Satisfy educational requirements
  • Update their voluntary benefits specialty credentials through continuing education courses required in order to maintain the Certified Voluntary Benefits Specialist® designation

Recertification Policy:

  • Certified Voluntary Benefits Specialist® Certification expires 2 years after date of issue
  • Recertification Fee of $250 after 2 years
  • 10 Total Hours of continuing education required per (2 year) recertification, and if you have a state Life, Health & Accident insurance license, you can carry over 7.0 state CE credits towards the CVBS re-certification requiring 3.0 CE’s every 2-years.
  • Annual fee of $100 per year to maintain certification and gain access to online continuing education resources
